Extension to WRC Factory, 45 Newmains Ave, Inchinnan, Renfrew PA4 9RR, Scotland

The opportunity to make pre-planning representations has now closed, but if you wish to receive any further information on the project please contact steven@cameronplanning.com

This online consultation aims to inform the local community and interested parties of a proposal to extend the existing WRC Recycling Factory.

Your feedback will help to inform the design process & subsequent planning application which will be made to Renfrewshire Council in 2020.

About WRC

WRC are a family-run waste management business based in Inchinnan and they aim to provide every client with a customised, total waste solution to help achieve a ‘zero waste’ society.

As Scotland continues to lead the UK in terms of becoming a zero carbon economy, WRC are pleased to play their part in achieving the national targets and maintaining the high quality natural environment the people of Scotland enjoy.

Specialising in the recycling of cardboard, plastic & glass, as well as offering a waste consultancy service, WRC has seen their business grow over the last 5 years and are now in the position where they need an extension to their existing factory to enable the business to physically grow further.

Proposed Extension

The WRC factory sits within Inchinnan Business Park and the proposed extension would see the factory footprint increase from 9,410sqm to up to 10,933sqm and enable the volume of recycled goods processed at the factory to steadily increase.

The proposed increase will be from 27,500 to 75,000 tones annually, thus facilitating employment of additional staff at the facility.

The extension will sit within the existing WRC site boundary and be to the north side of the existing factory building, so will not be visible form the street. The extension will be solely for the sorting & temporary storage of recyclable materials and will ensure that all material is kept under cover in a controlled environment.

It is expected that a change in the way WRC transport recycled goods will see minimal increase in traffic numbers into & out of the factory site.

If you have any specific questions, would like to receive more information on the development or wish to discuss the proposals, please email steven@cameronplanning.com & someone will contact you.
